Republicans (militantly) refuse to "get it"...

Where did they go wrong? What gave them the idea that they have the right to legislate what goes on in my bedroom, or the right to decide what I can or cannot do with my own body? Why do they think they have a mandate to protect us (in their own opinion) from ourselves?

- Sarah Palin caused my husband to switch from being a staunch Republican to a timid Democrat. She was so obviously unprepared, unequipped and divisive. She was a terrible choice of a running mate for John McCain and most likely lost him the election.

- This is yet another example of Palin grabbing for any limelight she can - she's apparently afraid we'll forget her if she doesn't keep making a fool out of herself. My advise to her is to stay in an arena where she isn't totally intellectually outclassed - like maybe Romper Room.

- I find it striking that when Republicans think lies are being spread about them, they are stormy, vociferous and defensive. Yet they are the party reknown for making a point of not checking too diligently into the verity of "facts" they report about their Democratic rivals...
